Here at Eberley Brooks, we see so many different visions come to life throughout wedding receptions.
Here are a few tips to make your reception stand out amongst the others, and make it one to remember.
Make it personal.
Choose the decor and colors that you want, not what your family members want
or what Pinterest tells you is “most popular”
Make it YOURS. If you want pink flamingos on every table, then honey, do it.
Make it captivating to your eye and your hearts desires, and I promise everyone else will love it just as much.
Set aside time for toasts.
Speaking of personal… my personal favorite part of wedding receptions are the toasts. Whether it be from a father, a friend, a sibling, or grandparent, they are so precious.
I know that some may find them unnecessary and maybe somewhat awkward… but I personally love them.
I love the heartfelt speeches that are filled with memories, laughs, tears, and hopes for you and your spouse’s future.
Setting aside time for toasts allows you and your spouse to be showered in love, and be able to reminisce on how you got here.
Take advantage of this moment that you won’t ever be able to get back. You won’t regret it.
Be fully present.
Your wedding day will go by SO fast.
One moment you are waking up to start getting ready and then in the blink of an eye, your walking away with a different last name.
During your reception, take it all in. Be present.
Welcome your guests and thank them for taking the time out of their weekend to celebrate this exciting time in your life.
Make those little moments count.
Take a picture, say thank you, and maybe save a dance for later. It will make a world of a difference and your guests will feel so appreciated.
